Hēishén, The Dark Warrior

Character Background:

Worshipped as Xuánwǔ, Hēishén is known as the Dark Heavenly Highest Deity in chinese mythology.
Since he victoriously commanded the twelve heavenly legions to fight the evil demon king during the fall of the Shang, Hēishén secured his position as one of the highest ranking deities, often serving as one of the five representations of the supreme God of Heaven.

The black god, whose essence lies in the water and winter, comes of as mysterious and unapproachable, often due to his strategic mind and steadfast attitude. Even though he was appointed as the Mysterious Heavenly Highest Deity, he never lost his warrior-self and - driven by his alert instinct - he soon found himself patrolling the lands surrounding his temple. Time and time again he found himself defending the temple and nearby villages from trespassers and unknown creatures. Whilst the trespassers themselves were strange enough to waken his curiosity, he soon felt the presence of something overly powerful deep within his temple.
A power that was pulling him closer and closer and that felt more overwhelming the closer he got to it. Deep inside the temple, hidden from prying eyes and unreachable for mere trespassers, there was a bright flame dancing around, so pure, so bright it even blinded the Highest Deity for a moment: Mysteria. The mana of the world. It was such a pure concentrated source of Mysteria that even Hēishén was overwhelmed at first. But soon he began to realise the danger and the consequences this source of Mysteria would hold.
He had seen with his own eyes the fatal fate someone would suffer when they were to overdose or overuse Mysteria. And seeing as so many creatures were already drawn to this source unconsciously, the structure of the world, the entire universe might crumble if someone were to possess this source of Mysteria.

And so Hēishén made a decision: As the Dark Warrior he would guard this source of Mytheria from anyone or anything that were try to steal it for their own to gain control over the world. With his sword in hand and his serpent mana manifestation to back him up he swore to protect any creature from corrupting and the world from falling apart.
Since that day he is guarding one of the purest Mysteria sources discovered in the universe.
